Notes of butterscotch, caramel, butter rum
Best Used For
Grog was watered-down rum, the ration sailors drank at sea. Highlander Grogg borrows the name and takes it somewhere warmer. Butterscotch and caramel sit over a Brazilian medium roast, with a butter rum note that reads as sweetness rather than alcohol.
This one has been asked for more than any other coffee we've stopped making, so it's back. The base is Brazilian, grown in the highlands of Minas Gerais, air roasted to a smooth medium so the bean still holds its own underneath the flavor. Butterscotch leads, caramel fills in behind it, and the rum note lands at the finish.
Our flavorings come from a craft supplier who builds profiles to complement the bean instead of burying it. There's no alcohol in the product.
Dessert in a mug, for the mornings that want one.
