Notes of milk chocolate, molasses, nostalgia
"Pulled a double shot before heading out the door. Rich, creamy, and kind of nostalgic, like the cocoa you had as a kid. Deep chocolate notes, easy finish. Makes a great latte too."

Our signature espresso, "El Jefe," named after Matt's (our roastmaster) dad. Central American and Indonesian beans in a medium-dark roast with notes of milk chocolate, molasses, and a touch of nostalgia. Roasted in our Big Lake, Minnesota coffee shop for a smooth, balanced shot. This is espresso that honors tradition and actually tastes the way espresso should.
Use the Strong setting on your Keurig and brew at 6 to 8 oz. A smaller cup size pulls more flavor and body from the pod.
Filtered water makes a noticeable difference. Run a water-only cycle first to clear the machine, then brew and enjoy while it's hot.
Air roasting uses clean, hot air to roast each bean evenly. You get a smoother, cleaner flavor without the bitterness or burnt taste that comes from traditional drum roasting. No hot metal contact means no smoky aftertaste.
It's a gentler process that brings out what's actually in the bean. The origin flavors and nuanced notes that heavy roasting covers up.
