In 1934, Gerardo Escobar Mesa and Enriqueta Ceballos left everything they knew in Jardín, Antioquia, carrying only their entrepreneurial spirit to Belén de Umbría's Western Cordillera. Starting with a modest plot at 1500 meters, Gerardo applied his inherited trader's instinct—not to quick profits, but to patient land consolidation, purchasing neighboring farms piece by piece. Now, four generations later, their descendants tend these same slopes where 19-degree temperatures and 2,263 millimeters of annual rainfall create the perfect constancy for their Tabi plants. The family maintains Gerardo's original obsession: excellence emerging from their soil. This isn't just continuity; it's conviction. Each harvest from these volcanic slopes carries forward an immigrant couple's audacious belief that dedication to land and craft could build something permanent. Their cup—fruit-forward Tabi grown in Risaralda's optimal microclimate—tastes like what it is: eighty years of one family refusing to compromise.
