Mexico SHG Washed Café de Mujeres, sourced from Bella Vista in Chiapas, encapsulates the essence of its lush surroundings. Grown in rich clay mineral soil and benefiting from the area's natural beauty, this coffee, roasted to 440°F, reveals a complex flavor profile.

It harmoniously blends the delicate aroma of orange blossom with subtle floral hints, underpinned by a rich chocolate base. The flavor is further enhanced by a distinct sweet character and a lively citric acidity, creating a balanced and inviting cup.

About the Coffee Grower

The story behind this coffee is deeply intertwined with the efforts of Rosalba Cifuentes Tovia, founder of Mayan Harvest Coffee. Rosalba collaborates with family and neighbors in Bella Vista to enhance their coffee production methods, ensuring better market prices and improving the community's standard of living. Her commitment extends beyond business, as she also provides essential medical and dental services, reflecting a holistic approach to community development.

Café de Mujeres, a segment of Rosalba's initiative, specifically supports female coffee farmers in Bella Vista, combating local gender biases and promoting their valuable contributions to the coffee industry. This project not only uplifts women in the region but also brings their exceptional coffee to the forefront. Through Rosalba’s leadership and vision, the project has grown to include around 100 producers, with women making up the majority, showcasing the transformative power of coffee in creating social change and fostering community solidarity.
